I've always been impressed by authors like Stephen King and Brandon Sanderson or filmmakers like Steven Soderbergh. Creatives with a huge output of work. I'm sure it's not as unusual as it is often portrayed, but I like the idea of King treating writing like a full time job. No matter the inspiration or how he feels that day, he writes. Obviously, this isn't new to productivity in a workplace or practicing a skill, we could walk to Barnes and Noble and find 8 shelves full of self help books to tell you to do that. But I think non-artistic people like myself are very good at recognizing that it can be the same in art.
I'm trying to produce more art. I consume plenty. I have early life existential fear that my consumption is too much. Creating is hard - it's easy to be stuck in analysis paralysis on what to do, how to do it, how others will percieve it (if it even makes it out to others), how I will feel when I look back at it a month from now. But once momentum picks up, it's easier. It happens. I hope.
